Winter Takeover is an annual charity event collaboration between a group of DMV-area Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. alumni chapters and foundations, including Kappa Community Development Foundation, Inc.
Winter Takeover 2020 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, MD attracted a capacity crowd and raised $58,000 for charitable efforts funded by the chapters and foundations.
Winter Takeover has been on hiatus since 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic but will be back in 2022-23.
