About the Kappa Community Development Foundation

Kappa Community Development Foundation, Inc. is a Maryland non-profit corporation, registered Maryland charity and  501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Founded in 2006, the charitable mission of the Kappa Community Development Foundation is to raise money to fund programs  and initiatives designed to assist DMV-area families in need and provide young people with the guidance and resources they  need to succeed.

Partner Organizations

Kappa Community Development Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the College Park – Sandy Spring (MD) Alumni chapter  of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. One of the programs that receives funding from the Foundation is the CPSS Kappa League program. The Foundation also provides funding for two scholarship funds managed by the University of Maryland: the Lucian E. Brown  Memorial Scholarship and the Charles Richardson Memorial Book Scholarship.
